This article details the steps to install the Aruvo TV screensaver on a Roku TV or Roku Streaming Player.
- Roku OS does not allow apps to redirect button assignments on the Roku remote control, so when guests press the "Home" button, "Back" button, or any dedicated app-launcher buttons, the TV will close the Aruvo Software app.
- With this in mind, Aruvo team have created a Roku screensaver to encourage guests to reopen the Aruvo app. You can find instructions on how to install and configure the Aruvo screensaver below.

✅ Before You Begin
Ensure you have the following ready to ensure an easy setup:

- Aruvo account - If you have not set up your account yet, follow the steps in this article to create and configure your account.
- Aruvo TV app installed and configured - If you haven't yet, we recommend installing and configuring the Aruvo TV app before proceeding.
⚙️ Step-by-Step Setup
1. Install the Aruvo TV Screensaver app
- From the main menu on the Roku Home screen, scroll up or down to select "Streaming Store" and click the "OK" button.
- Select the "Search" option under Recommended Apps.
- Search for "Aruvo TV Screensaver" to locate the Aruvo Screensaver app, then select the app from the listed results.
- Click the "OK" button to select the "Aruvo TV Screensaver" app and open the app details screen. From here, click the "Add app" button to install the Aruvo Screensaver for Roku.
2. Configure Screensaver Settings
- Click the "Home" button on the Roku remote to return to the Home screen, then to Settings in the main Roku menu.
- Press the "Right" or "OK" button, and navigate to the "Theme" option.
- Press the "Right" or "OK" button, and select "Screensaver". Press the "Right" or "OK" button to select it.
- Select "Aruvo TV Screensaver" and press the "OK" button to open the settings.
- Select “Set as screensaver”, then click the "OK" button on the Roku remote to save the settings.
- Press the "Back" button twice, then scroll down to select "Screensaver start time". Press the "Right" or "OK" button to select options.
- Select your preferred option for when the screensaver should activate, then press the "OK" button to choose the desired setting.
Note: The below example shows a 5-minute screensaver delay setting, but you can use any option you prefer - the Aruvo TV screensaver will still work the same with any setting.
3. Test Screensaver
Press the "Home" button to ensure changes take effect, and verify that the Aruvo screensaver starts after the configured start time.
