How to: Install Aruvo on Apple TV

Ensure you have the following ready to ensure an easy setup:

- Apple ID account credentials
- Wi-Fi network name and password
- Aruvo account - If you have not set up your account yet, follow the steps in this article to create and configure your account.
⚠️ Special Considerations
- Make sure your Apple TV is running at least tvOS 18 for the Aruvo TV app to work correctly.

If the Aruvo app isn't appearing in search results, it might not be available in your area, or the name you're searching may be incorrect. Double-check your spelling and App Store settings.
⚙️ Step-by-Step Setup
1. Power on your Apple TV
Ensure that your Apple TV device is connected to your TV, powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.
2. Navigate to the App Store
On the Home screen, select and click the App Store icon: 
Note: If the App Store icon is not visible, click the "Back" and/or "Home" button to return to the Home page.
3. Search for Aruvo app
Use the "Search" tab (magnifying-glass icon) in the App store to search for "Aruvo".
4. Install and configure the Aruvo TV app
Select the Aruvo app in the search results, and click to open the app's details page.
From here, click the "Get" button to install the app.
Note: If App Store downloads are restricted by Screen Time or Apple ID settings, you may need to input a PIN or parental password, or use Face ID to authenticate before downloading.
5. Update Aruvo app location in the list (optional but recommended)
By default, newly-added apps in Apple TV will appear at the end of the app list, but we recommend moving it to the top to make it easy to launch! Follow these steps to move the app:
- Press the "Home" or "Back" button on the Siri remote to return to the Home screen.
- Locate and select the Aruvo TV app in the app list.
- Touch and hold the center of the touchpad on the Siri remote until the Aruvo icon shakes and a pop-up menu appears.
- Select the "Edit Home Screen" option from the menu.
- Use the touchpad to move the Aruvo TV app to the top of the app list.
- Press the button on the touchpad again to confirm.
6. Launch Aruvo TV and link to property listing
To finish the setup, just launch the Aruvo app! For the first property that you set up on your Aruvo account, the TV will link automatically. ⚠️ Troubleshooting Apple Volume Purchase Plan Errors
Some users have encountered errors when trying to download the Aruvo app through accounts registered with Apple's "Volume Purchase Plan" ("VPP"). If the Aruvo app isn't appearing in Mosyle, follow the below steps to troubleshoot:

Refresh Apps & Books in Apple Business Manager ("ABM"):
- Navigate to ABM > Settings > Apps & Books
- Click "Refresh"
- Note that Apple may take from 5 - 30 minutes to update the list after refreshing.

Ensure the app is "Acquired" in Apps & Books: Even free apps must be "acquired" before an MDM can deploy them.
- Search for the Aruvo app in ABM > Apps & Books
- Click "Get" to acquire the app

Sync ABM with Mosyle: Ensure that Mosyle has the updated Apps & Books catalog.
- Navigate to Mosyle > Apps > Add App
- Click "Sync with Apple Business Manager"

Confirm Region Availability:
- Check that your ABM storefront region is set to a region where Arvuo TV is available.

Check for Description: A blank "Description" field can prevent downloading/saving the app.
