The Accessibility Service must be enabled during the initial setup. If it is not granted, several key features will not work as intended, and the user experience will be significantly limited.

You will get a prompt to agree to enable the accessibility Service
✅ I have read and agree to enable Accessibility Service.
Enabling Accessibility:
There are two ways to enable accessibility.
1. When the user taps Enable:
- Tapping onthe enable option will direct you straight to the Accessibility Services page, where you can locate and activate accessibility:
- From there, you simply need to toggle the switch ON to enable the service.
- This works reliably on most Android TV devices running Android 12 and above.
Important note:
If you click on the No thanks option it will close this screen and will not proceed further
2. Manual Navigation
- On older devices, particularly those running below Android 11, the system may not handle the intent correctly and instead show: “No application can handle this action.”
- In this case, we need to manually enable accessibility.
- We can enable it manually by following the path Device Preferences → Accessibility → Aruvo – Hospitality TV Software → Enable
Tip: This navigation path is displayed in orange at the bottom of the Accessibility prompt screen for easy user reference.
What will happen if we don’t Enable Accessibility?
If accessibility is not enabled:
- App won’t start automatically
- Guest will not land on the Aruvo TV Home Menu.
- Navigation between Aruvo TV apps and other installed apps will be disabled, causing a broken user flow
- Keypad functionality may be limited or non-functional
- App responsiveness will be slow and may require manual intervention
Re-Enabling Accessibility Later
If you initially select “No Thanks” or later disable the accessibility service, you can always return and enable accessibility manually by:
- Going to Device Preferences or Settings
- Selecting Accessibility
- Finding Aruvo – Hospitality TV Software
- Toggling the service ON
🕐 Troubleshooting the common issues related to accessibility

3. Issue: Aruvo TV App doesn’t launch on TV startup

- The service is used strictly for UI and interaction automation to ensure a consistent and polished experience for guests or users.
