How To: Set Up Theme for Aruvo TV

🕐 Before you begin

  • Ensure that your smart TV(s) and/or streaming device(s) are compatible with Aruvo TV. For a complete list of compatible devices, see Compatible TV Models: Aruvo TV.
  • Ensure that you have the required account credentials for your device platform(s). If you have not set up your account yet, follow the steps in this guide to set up your account. Create your Aruvo account 

🕐 Step-by-Step Instruction

Available themes :

The following are the available themes for Aruvo TV

  • Black & Gold (Default)
  • Black & White
  • Winter
  • Monochrome.

Notes on Theme Selection Window Behavior:

  • You can select a theme and then preview how the entire TV application will look in different sections (like Home, Movies, or TV Shows) without leaving the Theme selection tab. This allows you to see the theme's effect across the app before making a final selection.
  • Real-time theme changes are only displayed in the live preview portal on the Aruvo portal, and will not be visible on any connected TVs until you save your new settings.

 

 Theme Selection Workflow

 

Step 1: Access Theme Options

  • Navigate to the Theme Options section in the Aruvo Portal.
  • The currently active theme is visually highlighted.

Step 2: Selecting a Theme

  • Navigate to the selected theme and tap or click on a theme card.
  • A check mark appears on the selected card.
  • When you select a theme, the accompanying label will display the currently saved theme, not the theme you have selected for preview.
  • The previously active theme is automatically deselected.
  • The “Apply Theme” button becomes active once a selection is made..

Step 3: Applying a Theme

  • Please click “Apply Theme” to proceed.
  • The system will save the selected theme in the property configuration.
  • The selected theme is applied across the entire Smart TV interface, including:     
      • Home
      • Welcome
      • Wi-Fi
      • Contact us
      • Guidebook Services
      • Live TV Apps

Important note:
No page refresh is required. Visual updates reflect instantly in both Aruvo portal preview and Smart TVs.

  • The Apply button is disabled until a new theme is selected.
  • After we select the theme → the save button will get activated.
  • On clicking “Apply,” a confirmation alert appears:
  • “This action will overwrite your previous theme and its associated settings.

Options:

Upon clicking the "Apply" button, we will get two options:

    • Cancel → Upon clicking on Cancel, it will close the pop-up, and no change will be applied.
    • Apply New Theme → Confirms the selection and applies it throughout the Aruvo portal.

Component-Based Theming Engine

The platform uses a component-based styling engine, ensuring uniformity across every screen and element.

Theme styling is applied to:

  • Buttons
  • Headings
  • Backgrounds Cards 
  • Containers

Live TV Guide Styling

 Automatic Theme Application

  • The chosen theme automatically applies to:
    • Background colors
    • Program guide text and highlights
    • Interactive elements (e.g, buttons, borders)
