How to: Link Your Aruvo Account to OwnerRez

Ensure you have the following ready to ensure an easy setup:
- Aruvo account - If you have not set up your account yet, follow the steps in this article to create and configure your account.
- Configure your branding and theme - If you have not completed these steps during initial account setup, follow the steps in this guide to configure your theme and branding.
⚙️ Step-by-Step Setup
1. Open the web portal to Aruvo TV
If you have not created your Aruvo account yet, follow the steps to get started at How To: Create your Aruvo TV account.
2. Navigate to the "Integrations" tab
Click to select the "Integrations" option from the left-side menu.
3. Select the OwnerRez PMS integration
Click the button to select the "OwnerRez" option from the list.
Tip: Use the "Search" bar to type the name of your PMS and locate it quickly.
4. Enter integration details
The OwnerRez integration uses a secure three-step authorization process to link with Aruvo:
- Navigate to Integrations: In Aruvo, go to the "Integrations" section.
- Find OwnerRez: Search for "PMS OwnerRez" and click on its tile.
- Name and Authorize: Enter a display name for your integration (e.g., "OwnerRez ") and click "Authorize."
- Secure Login: You'll be redirected to a secure OwnerRez login page. Enter your credentials.
- Complete Authorization: Authorize the connection through Lynx Automation..
- Confirm and Sync: You'll see a confirmation. You can choose to import units immediately or later. Your units and reservations will then automatically sync into Aruvo.
Integration Name: Enter a display name for your OwnerRez integration.
5. Link PMS
To link your OwnerRez account:
- Integration Name: Provide a display name for your OwnerRez integration. This is for your reference only and has a suggested limit of 100 characters.
- Initiate Linking: Click "Authorize" to begin the secure linking process. Aruvo connects to OwnerRez through Lynx Automation, our trusted integration partner.
Authorize PMS
When you click Authorize
- OwnerRez Login: You will be securely redirected to the OwnerRez login page.
- Grant Access: Enter your OwnerRez credentials to grant Aruvo access.
- Secure Handshake: The authorization is managed by Lynx Automation, ensuring a secure connection for automatic data synchronization.y.
Important note:
If you skip this step by closing the authorization window, Aruvo will not be able to import or sync your units and reservations..
6. PMS Confirmation & Import Units
After successful authorization
- A confirmation screen appears.
- PMS connection is validated with an authentication token.
- (Link PMS) is marked as completed ✅.
- (Authorize PMS) is marked as completed ✅.
- (Import Units) is shown as the upcoming step.
- A success message is displayed: “You did it! OwnerRez account is now linked.”
7. Import Unit(s) from Ownerrez
Click "Import Units from PMS" to proceed with the import, and the system will collect a list of all units that are set up on your OwnerRez account.
Important note:
If you wish you can Skip Importing Units from the OwnerRez for now and you can come back and import them later on as well.
- Click the check-box to select individual units to import, or use the "Select All" check-box to select all units.
- You can use the "Search Unit" button to search for a specific property listing.
- If you don't see a property that was recently added to OwnerRez, click the "Re-Sync Units" button to refresh the list.
Important Note:
- The PMS Sync Status will be "Disabled" by default when you link a PMS Integration on the Aruvo Portal, Sync status should be enabled so that the stay details can sync to the respective property on the Aruvo Portal.

When the import has completed, Aruvo will display a list of all units that were imported successfully. From here, you can click the "Go To Units Page" button to review the imported properties and edit any details for individual units if desired.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Errors When Linking to OwnerRez
Failed Authorization Handling
An error message appears: “Oops! OwnerRez authorization failed. Please try again.”
How to Fix It:
- Authorize Again →The user will be redirected to the OwnerRez secure login page.
- Close → Exit the process without completing authorization.
Failed Authorization Behavior:
- If you entered an Integration Name but failed to authorize, the integration is still created in the database.
- This integration will appear on the Integrations Page with an Authorize button so you can retry authorization later.
Common Reasons for Authorization Failure
- Invalid or expired OwnerRez credentials.
- User logged in with an account that does not have the required access permissions.
- Connectivity issues between OwnerRez, Lynx Automation, and Aruvo.
🛠️ Manage PMS Integration
Edit Integration Name
Follow the steps below to update the display name of a PMS integration:
If you want to update the Integration Name:
- Navigate to the Integrations Page in Aruvo.
- Navigate to the Integration name, which needs to be updated.
- Click the Edit icon next to the integration name. Enter the new Integration Name (maximum 100 characters) and save it.
The changes will take effect immediately, and the updated name will appear on screen.
- Enter the new display name in the "Integration Name" field, and click the "Save" button when finished.
Note: An integration's display name can be up to 100 characters.
Delete Integration
If needed, you can delete a PMS integration by following the steps below.
Important: Deleting a PMS integration is an irreversible action that results in the permanent loss of data. Aruvo strongly recommends not deleting an integration unless you are certain you no longer need it or its associated data.
- When you click the Delete button, a warning message will appear.
- The message will clearly state that deleting the integration will also delete all associated units and linked TVs from your Aruvo account.
- You must type a confirmation word (e.g., Delete) to proceed. (Word Delete is case-sensitive)
Data Deletion
- Upon confirmation, Aruvo will permanently remove the following from your account:
- The PMS integration and all its synced data.
- All units that were imported from that PMS.
- All Smart TVs that were linked to those units.
- The system will update with a success message after deletion is completed. Click the "OK" button to acknowledge and close the window.
Since this action cannot be undone, we strongly recommend deleting an integration only if you are certain you no longer need it or its associated data.
