⚠️ User Flow
User Flow for RNS Integration (Token-Based):
- Quick and Simple Setup: The integration process is designed for efficiency, with only two key steps: naming the integration for your reference and completing the authorization or setup process by entering the Client ID, Client Secret, and Scope. This streamlined approach makes it easy for hosts to get started without a complicated setup.
- Consistent Experience: This two-step process is a standardized method used for all PMS integrations with a token. This means the user flow is predictable and easy to follow, allowing hosts to integrate multiple platforms without a steep learning curve.
Special Note:
The success of this process hinges on obtaining and correctly entering the Client ID, Client Secret, and Scope, as these are the keys to linking the two platforms and ensuring all your property data can be synced.
⚙️ Step-by-Step Setup
The process involves two main steps in Aruvo, but first, you'll need to get the necessary credentials from RNS.
Part 1: Get Your RNS Credentials. Before starting the setup in Aruvo, you must contact the RNS team to request your API access details.
- Request Access- Reach out to the RNS support team.
- Gather Credentials: Ask them for the following three items, which are necessary to establish a secure connection.
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Scope
💡Important Note: For the best results, request a fresh Client ID and Client Secret immediately before you plan to link the accounts.
Part 2: Configure Units in RNS for Sync:
For Aruvo to access and import your units, you must enable synchronization within RNS for each property you want to connect.
-
Log in to your RNS account.
-
Navigate to the Units Web/API tab in RNS.
-
For each unit you want to onboard to Aruvo.
-
Check the box for Aruvo.
-
Go to the Distribution tab for that unit.
-
Check the box for RNS Web Available under the Web/API pod.
⚠️Reminder: A unit will not appear in Aruvo for import unless both the Aruvo and RNS Web Available boxes are checked for that unit in RNS.
Part 3: Link RNS in Aruvo (Step 1 of 2)
Once you have your credentials and have configured your units, you can link the PMS in Aruvo.
-
Navigate to the PMS Integration page in your Aruvo account.

Part 4: Confirmation and Unit Import (Step 2 of 2)
After clicking Link PMS, Aruvo will validate your credentials. Successful Link: If successful, you will see an Intermediate Confirmation Screen with a success message: “You did it! RNS account is now linked.”
The screen will prompt you with the question: " Would you like to pull your units from RNS now?”
You have two choices:
-
Import Units from PMS: We recommend selecting this to immediately proceed to the Unit Import page, where Aruvo will begin fetching your units and reservations.
-

🕐Troubleshooting Common Issues
⚙️Manage RNS PMS Integration
Edit Integration Name:
If you need to update the Integration Name:
- Navigate to the Integrations Page in Aruvo.
- Locate the integration name you wish to update.
- Click the Edit icon next to the integration name.
- Enter the new Integration Name (maximum 100 characters) and save it.
The changes will take effect immediately, and the updated name will appear on the screen.
Delete Integration:
Important Note: Deleting a PMS integration is an irreversible action that results in the permanent loss of data.
To prevent accidental deletion, Aruvo follows a two-step process:
Delete Integration:
- Navigate to the Integrations Page in Aruvo.
- Locate the integration name you wish to delete.
- Click the Delete icon next to the integration name.
Deletion Confirmation:
- When you click the Delete button, a warning message will appear.
- This message will clearly state that deleting the integration will also delete all associated units and linked TVs from your Aruvo account.
- You must type a confirmation word (e.g., "Delete") to proceed. The word "Delete" is case-sensitive.
Data Deletion: Upon confirmation, Aruvo will permanently remove the following from your account:
- The PMS integration and all its synced data.
- All units that were imported from that PMS.
- All Smart TVs that were linked to those units.
It is strongly recommended to delete an integration only if you are certain you no longer need it or its associated data, as this action cannot be undone.
